Types of Industrial Protective Gloves
Gloves are among the most important personal protective equipment. Each type of work requires a different type of glove to provide appropriate protection while maintaining manual dexterity.
1. Leather Welding Gloves
Long, reaching to the elbow, heat and spark resistant. Essential for welders.
2. Nitrile Gloves
Chemical and oil resistant. Thin and flexible with good touch sensitivity. Suitable for mechanics and industrial cleaning.
3. Cut-Resistant Gloves
Made from high-performance fibers like Kevlar. Protect from sharp tools and sheet metal. Rated cut levels A1 to A9.
4. Latex-Coated Gloves
Fabric coated with latex or PU for excellent grip. Most commonly used in construction and general work.
5. Electrical Insulating Gloves
For working on electrical systems. Rated from Class 00 (500V) to Class 4 (36000V). Must be inspected regularly.
6. Heat-Resistant Gloves
For working with furnaces and hot metals. Withstand temperatures up to 500°C.
